Manchester Hints: Looking after your Towels

Correct washing techniques not only keep your towels looking fantastic, but also increases the life of your towels. The manufacturer recommends the following steps for a perfect result.

Coloured Towels:

• 5 minute cold break


• 10 minute hot wash at 75°C with alkali and detergent


• 2 minute hot rinse


• 10 minute bleach cycle at 65°C with Oxygen bleach followed by 3 hot and split rinses at 3 minutes each, with neutraliser and softener on the 4th rinse


• 6-minute high speed extract


• Dried for 20-35 minutes at 100 psi steam dried depending on the load size

White towels:

• 5 minute cold break


• 10 minute hot wash at 75°C with alkali and detergent


• 2 minute hot rinse


• 10 minute bleach cycle at 65°C with Chlorine bleach followed by 3 hot and split rinses at 3 minutes each, with neutraliser and softener on the 4th rinse


• 6-minute high speed extract


• Dried for 20-35 minutes at 100 psi steam dried depending on the load size
